Largest SELLING Modern and Contemporary West African Art Show in London

Aabru Art's Transcending Boundaries 2015 is back for its 3rd year – featuring remarkable never-before-seen artworks by 35 artists! The show offers an opportunity to invest in paintings, sculptures and installations – mixed media, oil on canvas, wood, metal – by well-known masters in their region and internationally emerging artists of great quality.

Transcending Boundaries 2015 will once again host selected events highlighting the thriving cultural life of Africa. The show begins with a 2-day programme at Asia House, a historic building in the heart of London, from 22 – 23 April. It continues with a 3-week exhibition and events programme at Lacey Contemporary Gallery from 24 April – 11 May and goes on with an Aabru Art Charity Day to benefit Tulsi Chanrai Foundation at the prestige's restaurant La Petite Maison in London on 17 May.

Aabru Art and its founder Anshu Bahanda believe in the strength of their artists to portray their notable talent and in the stories that their art convey. A beautiful example is Kehinde Sanwo's Tribal Influence, an oil painting on textured canvas. It is part of a series that pay tribute to Pablo Picasso's career and visually illustrate, document and celebrate the influence of African Art, especially African masks and sculptures, on Picasso's work. Is Picasso's art the legacy of African Art?

Anshu Bahanda is also co-curating an event called ITALIA DOCET | Laboratorium* - Collateral Event of the 56th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. An initial group of participants – 5 of whom are Aabru Artists – Chidi Kwubiri, Edosa Ogiugo, Kolade Oshinowo, Samuel Ovraiti and Revati Sharma Singh will present their own personal form of expression.

"Come and join us on this extraordinary journey ..." Anshu Bahanda
