Ogwo is a painter and a documentary photo artist whose masterful pieces receive immense praise in the art world from Nigerian and international critics. He has a desire for strong vivid images surrounded by a variety of colours. To him, painting is all about colour and he considers it crucial to bring out the beauty in a piece of work. His style cherishes colour as his colour selection depends on the mood and what he has in mind while he works, he does not see colours simply for seeing colour. Ogwo’s works use this vivid display of colour to express his belief in free speech and positive living. In his opinion, to achieve the best effect, he works primarily with oil on canvas and prefers textured surfaces.
